Flight Chat is provided by Krzysztof Dąbrowski, an individual based in Poland ("I", "me"). These terms cover Flight Chat for Android and iOS. Features and service integrations vary by app version and platform. By selecting the agreement checkbox in the app and using Flight Chat, you agree to these terms, including the Community Rules below. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Flight Chat lets nearby devices exchange text messages and, in versions that support it, make live audio calls through Google Nearby Connections. You do not need a Flight Chat account. Communication is device-to-device rather than through a central messaging relay operated by me.
Nearby communication does not require internet access, but purchases, purchase restoration, diagnostics, version-dependent app analytics and external links can use online services. Any internet data charges are subject to your network provider's agreement.
Both participants need compatible app versions and devices, the required permissions, and an active nearby connection. Range, interference, device settings, battery state, and operating-system restrictions can affect discovery, delivery, and calls, particularly while the app is in the background. Delivery, uninterrupted calls, and compatibility between older and newer releases are not guaranteed.
Flight Chat cannot call emergency numbers and is not a replacement for emergency communications. Follow applicable laws and restrictions on wireless-device use, including airline and crew instructions.
Flight Chat has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. Do not use the app to harass, threaten, bully, stalk or impersonate anyone; promote or encourage violence; send spam; distribute pornographic, sexually exploitative, hateful, discriminatory, violent or otherwise unlawful content; exploit or endanger children; infringe another person's rights; or interfere with another device or the app's operation. Anyone who engages in such conduct is not permitted to use Flight Chat. Keep your device secure and connect only with people you intend to communicate with. Nicknames are not verified identities.
You retain your rights in the content you send and are responsible for having the right to share it. Flight Chat does not relay or centrally store communications, so I cannot retrieve or automatically review their content. If you choose Report, Flight Chat opens an editable email draft addressed to [email protected] that includes the peer's nickname and persistent random peer ID. No messages are attached automatically, and I receive a report only if you send the email. I can review only the information you choose to send.
You can reject or disconnect a connection, or block a peer's current persistent random peer ID. A block is stored on your device and prevents future discovery and connections involving that ID. There is currently no in-app unblock control. Blocking is not tied to a verified identity and may not stop the same person if their ID changes.
Recipients can keep, copy, share, or record communications; deleting something on your device does not remove their copies. Do not rely on the app as your only copy of important information or assume that disconnecting erases all message data.
Where audio calls are available, they are free on Android. On iOS, initiating calls requires an optional one-time in-app purchase; receiving calls does not require that purchase. This is a feature unlock, not a subscription. The price is displayed before you confirm a purchase, and no purchase is required for text messaging.
iOS purchases are processed through Apple's App Store, with RevenueCat used to manage purchase status and restoration. Purchasing and restoring require internet access. Use the app's restore option with the Apple Account used for the purchase. Cached purchase status can allow offline access, but after installation or reinstallation you may need to connect to the internet and restore your purchase first.
For App Store refund requests, use Apple's refund process. A refunded or revoked purchase may no longer unlock the feature. Contact me for purchase-access problems or complaints. Nothing in these terms limits your applicable rights to refunds, withdrawal, or remedies for faulty digital content.
The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled, including local data and third-party services. Offline communication does not mean that every part of the app operates without online data processing. These terms are not a request for consent to data processing.
The app relies on third-party technology and services, including Google Nearby Connections, Firebase diagnostics, version-dependent Firebase Analytics and, for iOS purchases, Apple and RevenueCat. Your use of an app store or other external service is also subject to the terms applicable to that service.
You may install and use Flight Chat on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and applicable app-store rules. The app's intellectual property belongs to me or its respective licensors. You may not copy, redistribute, modify, or reverse engineer the app except where permitted by applicable law or the relevant licence. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their own licences; see the licence notices.
For the App Store version, Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement governs the app licence. These terms supplement it with Flight Chat-specific service conditions and do not replace it.
Features and supported devices may change for technical, security, or legal reasons. Updates may be needed for continued compatibility. The app may be retired from distribution and support; installed copies may continue to work, but continued compatibility is not promised. Retirement does not itself require you to delete the app or remove rights you already have.
I may discontinue a release or feature, subject to applicable law and rights attached to purchases. Where a change materially affects a paid feature, I will provide the notice and any remedies required by law. A one-time purchase is not a promise that the app will work on every future device or operating-system version.
I do not promise error-free or uninterrupted operation. However, nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights, including rights relating to the conformity of digital content and services. Polish law applies, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings available under the law applicable to them.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Flight Chat. The app is not intended for children or minors.
Updates to these terms will be posted here with a revised date. For material changes, I will provide any additional notice and obtain any agreement required by law before they apply. Updates do not retroactively remove accrued rights or change completed purchases merely because this page has changed.
